Our Monel 400 hexagon lock nut is machined from Monel 400 (UNS N04400) nickel-copper alloy and fitted with a Vespel polyimide insert. The Vespel insert keeps the prevailing-torque locking action working at higher temperatures, while the Monel 400 body delivers outstanding resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid and alkali. Together they are built for higher temperature or corrosive applications.
