Our forged bow shackles and dee shackles are manufactured by drop forging and heat treatment to deliver high strength, crack resistance and long service life for lifting, rigging and mooring operations. Both US Type and European Type designs are available, and either type can be fitted with a screw pin or a safety bolt pin.
- Drop Forged & Heat Treated — one-piece forged bodies with no welding seam, providing uniform grain structure and dependable strength.
- Galvanized Finish — available in hot dip galvanized or electro galvanized to resist corrosion in marine, offshore and outdoor applications.
- Two Pin Options — screw pin for fast anchoring, or safety bolt pin (with nut and split cotter) to resist accidental loosening.
- US & European Standards — manufactured to US Federal Specification RR-C-271D and European Standard EN 13889. Load ratings are declared separately per the applicable standard (see Standards & Load Ratings below).
- Proof Load Tested — Proof load tested in accordance with RR-C-271D / EN 13889 requirements; material certificates available on request.
Both US Type and European Type bow / dee shackles can be supplied with either pin type. Select by working condition:

The 35 T range is declared under RR-C-271D only; EN 13889 ratings apply to screw pin shackles from 0.5 T to 25 T.
