Stainless Steel Pipe Flange Class 150
Class 150 Raised Face Slip-On Pipe Flange Stainless Steel A182 F316L
Slip-on Flanges are at the low cost end of the scale, and do not require high accuracy when cutting the pipe to length. These SO Flanges can sometimes have a boss or hub, and can be made with a bore to suit either pipe or tube. Slip-on flanges, also known as ‘ hubbed flanges ’, have a hub with a very low profile. This type of flange is usually connected to a pipe by one or two fillet welds (one outside the flange and one inside the flange), it is however possible to use only a single weld.
ASME B16.5 covers flange dimensions from ½” to 24”. Different types of flange faces are used as the contact surfaces to seat the sealing gasket material. ASME B16.5 and B16.47 define various types of flange facings, including the raised face, the large male and female facings which have identical dimensions to provide a relatively large contact area.
