The thickness of the Dacromet film is only 4-8μm, but its rust resistance is more than 7-10 times that of traditional electro-galvanising, hot-dip galvanising or paint coating methods. Standard parts and pipe joints treated with the Dacromet process show no red rust in the salt spray resistance test for over 1200h.
